There are a number of
rivers and lochs within the park that offer excellent angling.
Use the menu on the left to choose a loch or river and find the
information about that specific fishing area as well as maps.
The type of fishing is all
fresh water but with a fairly small variety of fish types.
However there is great fishing to be had as most of the river
and loch systems are considered to be pristine and pollution
free. Migratory fish are of course Wild Atlantic Salmon and Sea
Trout with the normal residents you might expect such as Brown
Trout, Char, Pike, and Eel.
The
list of fishing destinations in the nav bar is by no means
the full extent of lochs, lochans, rivers and burns that can
be fished in the area of the park. Some of these are easy to
get access to and others involve a long hike often in rough,
remote terrain.
It should be noted that around many lochs
there is no mobile signal and so it is imperative that care
is taken and common sense prevails.
